To open: Push in locking button and hold while pulling outward on the 7 transparent sliding lids. Place pills in the corresponding compartments for each day of the week and time of day. Push the sliding lids back into the closed position. Only tablets or capsules which are to be taken orally may be placed in the pill planner. It is not suitable for storing liquids or suppositories. If you need help to fill your pill planner, ask a pharmacist, nurse, or your doctor. Filling your Pill Planner: Each day of the week has 4 compartments, according to the time of day: morning (7-9 am), noon (11 am-1 pm), evening (4-6 pm), bedtime (8-10 pm). It is best to fill your pill planner weekly. To remove and fill the tray insert, press in on the Ezy-grip tab and slide the side panel out of the unit. The inner tray may then be removed. Fill the necessary compartments of the tray with appropriate medication(s). When re-assembling, make sure that the inner tray is correctly positioned. The numbers on the bottom of the inner tray must correspond to the numbers on the top of the pill planner. Taking medication from the Pill Planner: Push in locking button and hold while sliding out the lid to uncover the appropriate compartment. Remove pills by turning the pill planner upside down. An empty compartment shows that you have taken your medication. NOTE: A small gap between adjacent compartments will be visible when the transparent slide is moved to an open position. The gap is closed when the cover is shut, and pills cannot migrate from compartment to compartment. Customized Medication Schedule: On the bottom of the Pill Planner there is a medication card where you can record medication and dosage details. It is important that you show your Pill Planner, or the card correctly filled in, when you visit your doctor. To convert the Pill Planner to a non-locking mode: The locking bar can easily be removed by opening all of the pill compartment cover slides and pulling the locking bar out. To replace the locking bar, open all of the pill compartment cover slides and slide the lock bar into the Pill Planner. Cleaning your Pill Planner: To remove the entire tray insert, press in on ez-grip tab and pull side panel out of frame. The tray may then be removed and the different parts can be wiped or washed, but NOT in a dishwasher. When re-assembling, make sure that the plastic honeycomb container is correctly positioned. The numbers on the bottom of the inner tray must correspond to the numbers on the top of the planner..
